Problem

The project was created thinking in an Animal Shelter from the Netherlands voluntarily. The current website is very simple, just information and some photos. Little interaction.

Solution

Create a complete profile webpage and a adoption request online flow, where the user can choose the animal, fill in the request and book a visit in once.

User Research/Creating Personas

In my interviews with people who said they were very likely to use a online Adoption Request I could assume that a big problem is the poor information on the website to support their decision and push them make a request before the visit.

I have identified two groups: Working adults who are open to have a pet to share the place with them and Retired people that are looking for somebody to take care of.

Problem statement

Eliza is a single mother who needs easily find and adopt a well behavior dog so her son can create a bond with animals from an early age and take care.

LOW-FI SCREEN FLOW

After brainstorming and coming up with a lot of ideas using "Crazy Eights" we created the Information Architecture and the first wireframes and ending with usability testing.

PROJECT CONCLUSION

During the project, I had an opportunity to create a brand, something quite new for my skill. Also the first time that I used "Crazy Eights" method. I managed to do a user survey, create wireframes, build a set of low fidelity prototype, test them and convert into design/mockups, connect them into a hi-fi prototype and perform the last usability study.

It was challenging, but rewarded with learning and a great final result.
